I’m Allison Coulson, founder of Ideal Spaces…
...and first, I have a confession:
I have ADD and it has been a challenge all my life. But I also love to organize things.
Over the years, I’ve learned the level of organization (or disorganization) around me has a dramatic impact on my productivity and happiness. When my house is cluttered and in disarray, so is my mind. Keeping my home organized gives me clarity and control, resulting in more focus and less stress. It has taken me years to harness organization in all aspects of my life.
When I visit friends who have cluttered homes I want to cancel our plans and organize their home instead!
For 9 years, I taught middle and high school English. As an educator, my greatest love was mentoring students and developing clear, engaging lesson plans that streamlined learning.
Several years ago, I left teaching to become a Realtor. The transition from my schedule-driven life as a teacher into self-employment amplified my struggles with attention. When left to my own devices, it was too easy to get caught up with distractions at the expense of my motivation and productivity. So I created and applied strategies that help me focus.
I truly enjoy helping people empower themselves, whether it be a recently divorced woman find a home of her own, a struggling student understand and enjoy Shakespeare, or help a friend crawl out of the depths of depression.
In my restlessness and longing to help others, I realized I could combine all of my talents. Thus, Ideal Spaces was born!
I believe that being free of clutter is the first step in improving your life. Once you are free of the things that burden you, everything else begins to fall into place. With your life simplified and organized, great things will happen!
I believe life is often overwhelming and is much more complicated than it needs to be. I strive daily to make my life simpler and want to bring that simplicity and ease to your life too.
I have personally worked through and developed a system for all the agonizing choices of deciding what to let go of and what to keep, and it helped me save money, time, and sanity.
Let me help you to do the same!
